South Shore Hospital Receives Donation of Much Needed PPE – 4,000 KN95 Masks from IMANA
Through the generous donation of the Islamic Medical Association of North America, South Shore Hospital has additional PPE masks to use during this global pandemic.
Chicago, IL –August 2020 – In the spirit of giving and understanding the need for PPE, IMANA stepped up to help at South Shore Hospital a local community not-for-profit hospital. Having members that work at many of the community hospitals, Dr. Ismail A. Mehr, Board of Regents, Medical Relief Chair, and FIMA Relief Chair at IMANA, understands that many of the hospitals are underfunded and faced with limited resources and felt it their mission to help. “We thank IMANA for their generous donation of 4,000 masks. These directly benefit the Emergency Department and other front-line caregivers at the hospital,” said Leslie Rogers, Assistant Administrator of South Shore Hospital.
South Shore Hospital has been in the South Shore community since its founding in 1912 and with support from organizations like IMANA and others; will continue to provide the highest quality healthcare for the community for many years to come.
